Free Washington State travel Guides
Looking for a short, cheap trip?I had just a little vacation time to use, and DC was perfect. There's so much you can do for free, and if you've never been there's tons of history you can literally walk over as you stroll through the city. Great public transportation , amazing museums, art, food and atmosphere. You can turn it into an affordable (and fascinating) little getaway.
Insider Tip: Try Pitango in downtown DC. Fantastic gelato and coffee. Google it and marvel over their menu. And don't pass up DC's theater scene. I visited the Shakespeare Theater Company and Woolly Mammoth Theater while there.
